Regulatory Impact Assessment & Better Regulation

Course Overview

This intensive course equips participants with the practical knowledge and analytical tools required to assess the impact of regulations and develop regulatory frameworks that are effective, proportionate and responsive to public and economic needs.

It covers the core elements of Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), including regulatory problem definition, cost-benefit and risk analysis, stakeholder consultation, identification of regulatory burdens and the development of practical approaches to regulatory simplification. Participants will also explore how to monitor and evaluate regulatory outcomes and use evidence to improve regulatory decisions.
